About this Event
Come along for an evening of live entertainment, drinks, raffle prizes and inspiring speeches to help fundraise for Care4Calais North East and MAP!
Tickets are free but we kindly ask you to make a donation on the door if you are able to. All funds will be split 50/50 between C4C NE and MAP.
Care4Calais is a volunteer-run refugee charity working with refugees and asylum seekers in the UK, France and Belgium. C4C North East supports asylum seekers in our region by providing donations such as clothes and mobile phones, helping with access to public services, and running activities.
Medical Aid for Palestinians works in partnership with Palestinian communities to uphold their rights to health and dignity. They develop effective, sustainable and locally-led healthcare services and provide medical aid during emergencies. They also campaign to break down the barriers to Palestinian health and healthcare.
Speakers:
- Mick Bowman - Mick will have just returned from his 5 month, 2,200 mile long walk from Newcastle to Palestine which he undertook to raise awareness about the Palestinian cause and refugee rights. Along the way Mick gained many supporters - both online and on the ground - and was featured in several news articles. This will be his first event back in the country.
