This is a fundraiser dinner to benefit foster kids and raise funds for them to receive therapeutic horseback riding lessons. There will a taco bar provided by Tiny's, Music by The Limited Warranty Band, and a silent auction with proceeds going to Equines For Fosters. Tickets are $30 per person.
Equines for Fosters is a nonprofit organization that mentors kids in foster care by providing therapeutic horseback riding lessons at no cost to them. Participants work on their horsemanship and life skills. When a foster kid comes out for lessons, we pair them with one of our lesson horses to create a positive relationship based on trust. Learning how to control the horse boosts the kids’ confidence and the kids learn how to regulate their emotions. Foster parents have stated their kids are having better behavior, more confidence, and an overall happier disposition.
