Come learn the basics of painting or drawing with pencils in this fun 6 week workshop. Each lesson builds on the next. And you create some beautiful artwork while having fun at the same time. 

The intention of this workshop is to introduce the students to the basics of drawing. The student will learn how to use the variety of pencils how to shade how to draw lines and texture. The student will learn how to use their different erasers as a tool along side of the pencils to create beautiful simple and attractive pencil drawings. We teach from photo references and teach the student how to draw . This allows the student to learn the basics while creating artwork they can be proud of. 

We deigned the course to include 6 classes that are held biweekly. the instructor will assign homework to be completed in between the lessons to allow the student to practice what was taught.

Drawing is the basis of all artwork. Developing a strong foundation in drawing can be rewarding fun and can also improve an artists original artwork in any medium by allowing for better composition form and style.

The following supplies are required for the class. Most can be purchased online or in an art store. We use www.michales.com quite often as they are reasonable in price.

9 x 12 Multi Media or Drawing Book (not a sketch book as the paper is too thin)

1 set of pencils that have a range of pencils from 2H- 8B

Blending stumps (White tortillions)

Generals Brand Kneaded Eraser

White Eraser

Pencil Sharpener

Optional- Tombow Mono Eraser
