About this Event
This free 8-hour in-person training will provide sex crimes investigators a comprehensive overview of adult sexual assault investigations. Instruction will cover identifying the fundamental steps for investigating sexual assaults, understanding the importance of suspect and victim interviews, crime scene follow-up and developing case strategies. Case studies, legal issues, and post-investigative duties will be covered.
This course is AZPOST credit approved and open to law enforcement and prosecutors only.
This training will taught by Rachel Mitchell, JD (Maricopa County Attorney's Office) and Phil Hodgkins (Ret. Surprise Police Department).
