Giovanni Battista Guadagnini står i en særstilling blant de italienske instrumentmakere med sin helt egne stil, og med en karriere som førte ham til ulike musikkmiljøer over hele Nordvest-Italia.På kveldens konsert har du en sjelden anledning til å oppleve en reise gjennom hele hans produksjon; fra Piacenza på 1740-tallet til Milano 1750, Parma 1760 og Torino 1770-80. Instrumentene har reist til orkestre og konsertsaler verden rundt siden, og møtes nå igjen under utstillingen «Mestermøter».

Thanks to his distinctive style, Giovanni Battista Guadagnini holds a unique position among the Italian luthiers.
His career gave him access to musical circles in every corner of north-west Italy.
Tonight’s concert is a rare opportunity to take a journey through his entire production; from Piacenza in the 1740s to Milan in 1750, Parma in 1760, and Turin in 1770–80. Ever since, Guadagnini’s instruments have been played in orchestras and concert halls around the world. In the “Master to Master” exhibition they are once again reunited.
