We've been dancing under open skies in beautiful natural settings like this for six years now! Come join us!
We’ll gather in circle together at sunset & moonrise, grounding in the elements, feet sinking into sand and surf, co-creating community, magic, and healing, drawing on ecstatic dance traditions and earth-based ritual.
This August, as thanks to those who kindly contribute towards paying down Jewel's large surgery bill, I am offering a Thank You Party on the Full STURGEON MOON, Thurs. August 27, 7:30-9pm. It is offered in gratitude to those who’ve made $20 & up donations towards her care.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Dancing under the moon at idyllic Willows Beach—there isn’t anywhere else I’d rather on a full moon night! Music is eclectic, in an ecstatic dance wave form, taking you up to release and bringing you down to connect with the stillness in you & in the land.
We begin in a circle, set intentions for the next cycle, then share a spiral dance and an ecstatic dance wave. Sometimes we are blessed to have guest vocalists or musicians at the end of the dance wave.
All welcome. All ages, genders, abilities, cultures. Let’s dance together as one.
FLOW OF EVENING:
8:45pm: Ambient music for arriving, movement warmup, & headset pick up
9pm: Circle & spiral dance
9:15pm: Ecstatic dance wave
(it's ok to come for the dancing part only if you prefer or to come for the warmup movement & headset pickup, sit out the circle, then join the ecstatic dance wave.

BRING:
—a mug for Bengal Spice tea 'round the fire-pot (or use my re-usable Nulla Project cups)
—friends if you’d like
—LOTS of water
—warm layers, hat; hoods if rain is in the forecast. We supply waterproof covers too. (Dressing for the weather lets us dance dance through the seasons in comfort).
—items to create an earth art mandala together (fresh & dried flowers, petals, leaves, feathers, stones, seaweed, sticks, shells, pinecones, etc). Arrange your offerings on the mandala when you arrive. We have created some beautiful ones together!
OTHER INFO:
- Meet at the south end of Willows Beach off Bowker
- I'll keep a list of everyone who's donated $20 or more & offer this dance party as a thank you. Please donate in advance to reserve a spot. If you are not able to donate in advance, please Message or Email to let me know, so I bring enough headsets. I'll bring a few extras too.
—bike racks on site; we are on a bus route; there is parking on Bowker Ave.
—sorry, no dogs permitted on the beach anymore. It is a seabird sanctuary now.
