Introducing FULL SPECTRUM: Playing in the Light + Dark, a playground for creatives, leaders, and changemakers ready to invite more play into their everyday so they can show up courageously in life and business.

Discover how to use play to connect, express, transmute, celebrate, and surprise yourself while being in the full spectrum of life. It’s time to free yourself and let your creativity and authentic expression REALLY lead the way.

This playground is a highly collaborative, low stakes environment where you can practice with other women on the creative path. Because here's the thing, not only do you not have to do it all by yourself, you're actually not meant to.

This is a space to:

• Show up wherever you are, in the light and dark, and be met in play
• Push your edges in a way that feels in alignment with your nervous system
• Practice tuning in and following your creative impulses
• Connect to your inner child, how they want to play, and heal where they didn't feel safe to play
• Get out of your well worn patterns and shake things up with new forms of creative expression
• Explore approaching challenges and obstacles with creativity and curiosity
• Be held and safe enough to be vulnerable and seen in different forms of play

*This is a women's only experience and our circle welcomes all people who identify as a woman.

This experience is hosted by longtime friends and creative collaborators, Danielle Rifkin and Leigh Orne.

• Danielle (LPC, ATR) is a somatic art therapist and grief ritualist who has spent many years learning to play in the dark and is expanding her definition of play every day. She has facilitated hundreds of groups in a variety of settings and loves creating experiences that help people to explore their inner worlds and feel connected and safe in community.
• Leigh is a celebration guide, photographer, and proud owner of JOYSET - a fleet of silent disco headsets. Creativity, personal expression, and being seen are the threads that weave through all of her offerings. Her intention as a community gatherer is to create space for people to see and celebrate all parts of themselves. The light, the dark, and all the joyful messy bits in between. All of it is welcome here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Play?
Have you ever felt a huge rush of joy after having an impromptu dance party or sing-a-long?! Yeah, us too! Science is showing there’s way more to this than just having a good time. Studies are emerging showing that play allows us to take on different roles and contingencies in a low stacks environment. By playing we are able to explore and expand potential outcomes, to increase our neuroplasticity and to release natural opiods, which leave us feeling good, and this has a ripple effect on how we show up in life.

What do we actually DO on the playground?
Part of the magic is that each playground space is different depending on who is there and how folks want to play. That said, generally speaking the forms of creative expression we often explore are embodiment prompts, movement/dance, art, singing/vocal activation, etc.

Do I need to have any specific skills or experience?
No experience needed! Just bring your curious mind, open heart, and playful spirit. Resistance and fear is also welcomed.

What have others experienced on the playground?
“I played so much as a kid and I loved it and then it just slowly faded away. So many spaces that I’m in really focus on working through stories, and trauma, and heaviness. Yes that’s so needed AND I want to bring in more lightness and play and fun to all of it.”
