A One Day Full Moon Yoga, Meditation & Wellness Journey in the heart of Delray Beach - led by Jessica Om, Pedro Luna, Sumer Luna & Guest Erik Lieux
About this event
This unique full-day retreat will be a fun & restorative immersion of mindfulness, yoga, healing arts, & ceremony. The experience will include 4 world class facilitators, 2 yoga classes (morning indoors/evening full moon on the beach,) breathwork, sound healing, guided journaling, a healthy lunch, mindfulness exercises, meditation, Thai-yoga massage, cacao ceremony & more. The retreat will begin at the Hyatt Place in downtown Delray Beach, and will finish off with a Full Moon Beach Yoga practice & community gathering.
The full moon is the time for release and renewal. We will make space through our practices and reflections to gain clarity on all that we are releasing and inviting into our lives.
The retreat will kick off with morning Breath work, Yoga, and an Immersive Sound Healing Experience to awaken ourselves from the inside out. After a healing sound journey we will take time to reflect and dive into some Guided Journaling. There will be time for reflection and connection after this morning session that will lead us into a delicious privately catered lunch from a local restaurant.
After lunch we will move into a guided Mindfulness Experience that will help us further drop into presence & awareness. Participants will be guided into a series of mindfulness meditations that include a body scan, mindful walking and an interpersonal mindfulness exercise that will connect you deeper with fellow community members.
After some more time for journaling and reflection we will move into a partner Vedic Thai-Yoga experience. Thai-Yoga (also known as "lazy man's yoga) is an ancient healing art said to be practiced on the buddha. This therapeutic practice consists of a combination of conscious breath, assisted stretching & rhythmic compressions which target the meridians of the body, providing both the giver & receiver of this therapeutic art with deep restoration, a calm-renewed energy, improved physical mobility, and an overall sense of well-being. No partner required, but welcome.
To finish off our afternoon session we will open our hearts further with a beautiful Cacao Ceremony. Theobroma Cacao literally translating into “Food of the Gods” has been consumed as a sacred plant offering by indigenous cultures for centuries. When cacao made its way to the Europeans it was turned into a popular edible confection we now know as chocolate, losing much of the traditional honoring of the plant & its medicinal qualities. Cacao ceremonies bring awareness & intention into the consumption of the sacred plant, keeping the indigenous traditions alive while also getting to enjoy the many benefits of this delicious food of the Gods. We will be featuring Shamanic Tonic’s special ceremonial blend- handcrafted from scratch with raw Peruvian cacao, infused with prayer and a long list of healing superfoods.
At 5:30pm we will wrap up our day at the Hyatt and head to the beach for the climax of our experience at Full Moon Beach Yoga!
This one day retreat will leave you feeling grounded, centered, inspired, and ready for all the amazing things that are coming your way.

About the facilitators:
Jessica Om is the creator of Delray Beach's popular ongoing Sunset Beach Yoga meetup which was established in 2010. Her teaching style incorporates her own unique blend of hatha, vinyasa & yin, with an influence of her Siddha yoga & kripalu yoga lineages, and a lifetime love for movement exploration & dance. Her music background & devotion to all things heArt naturally led her to Bhakti yoga & other forms of healing arts. In addition to being an ERYT with over 500 hrs, Jessica is a former Thai-Yoga teacher for the Vedic Conservatory, and ongoing practitioner, sound healing facilitator, Yoga Nidra facilitator, certified reiki practitioner, and former co-owner of a South Florida based healing arts company (JAI Healing Arts.) She has lovingly shared her teaching & practice at festivals, schools, in yoga studios, churches, private businesses, local & international retreats, online, in-homes, and on the beach for the past 14 years... and many more to come.
Pedro Luna has been teaching yoga since 2012. He transitioned from a corporate job in 2014 to teaching yoga full time and “figuring it out”. He has taught yoga around the world, leads incredible retreats & workshops. Pedro began assisting and mentoring yoga teachers in 2018, and has been enjoying it ever since. Pedro’s mission in life is to share the gift of yoga with the world. He is the creator of Yoga With Pedro and has a thriving online yoga community. When he isn’t teaching yoga, making memes, or connecting with other teachers he enjoys spending time doing crazy challenges with his wife Sumer and their 3 children.
Sumer Luna became certified as a 200-hour yoga teacher in 2016. She initially joined yoga teacher training, not with the intention of becoming a yoga teacher but more so to connect with a community of like-minded yogis and to devote time to grow in her spiritual practice. For a number of years, Sumer taught two intermediate level vinyasa classes in community yoga studios and volunteered to teach a class for veterans with Connected Warriors. Serving veterans is a passion of Sumer’s, in addition to a wonderful yoga teacher she is also a licensed clinical social worker who has been working with the Veterans Health Administration since 2013. She provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups, and is an expert in treating PTSD and Anxiety Disorders. Additionally, she has a recent passion for working with couples. Sumer teaches yoga to the veterans and families that she works with regularly and finds the practice to be tremendously helpful in promoting recovery and overall positive well-being.
Erik "Guru" Lieux is founder and creator of South Florida’s artisan superfood / superherb elixir and powder line - Shamanic Tonic. With his deep interest and passion for the plant kingdom, he was guided towards working more intimately with one of his favorite plant teachers of all time - Theobroma Cacao, aka raw chocolate. Erik brings a modern day practicality into the centering, energizing and uplifting journey of cacao ceremony. His specialized Ceremonial Cacao Elixir is unlike any cacao you may have tried before. During the journey, participants are guided into reflective meditations and relevant ritualistic components going deep into the heart of Self. Erik is also a DJ and ecstatic dance facilitator, professional wedding & event photographer, and a practicing Licensed Mental Health counselor for several years.
