Join us at Hawthorn Community Centre for an amazing Full Moon Gong Immersion (or Gong Bath/Gong Journey) performed by Chris from Harmonic Essence. This will be a 90 + minute long journey.
A Gong Immersion/Sound Journey is a sensory audio experience that is hard to describe in words. The sense of calm can be likened to many years of accumulated meditation practice - all at once entering your being – this feeling can remain with you for days into weeks in some instances.
This Immersion in particular, will be Gong centric, and at a 90 minute + length, you will be taken on an incredible journey, without leaving the room. Chris has an amazing collection of large healing gongs that you will feel as well as hear.
To participate could not be easier. It takes very little effort on the part of the receiver. All that is required of the participant is for them to show up and either lie down (most cases) or for some; sit in a meditation posture or even a chair. A series of sounds from large healing gongs, precious metal Himalayan Singing Bowls, Clear Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, Chimes, Healing Drums, Native American Flute, Grounding Instruments, Vocal Toning and Magical Hand Pan, take you on a journey unlike any other. Each experience is unique and there is no previous experience required.
A Gong/Sound Journey provides super food that creates relaxation, calms the nervous system, quiets the mind, stimulates hormones that heal and opens the door to deep meditative states by shutting off your body's fight or flight reflex.

WHAT TO BRING:
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Please bring a thick yoga mat(ideally 2) or camping mat or air mattress, your favorite blanket/quilt and cushions/pillows.

Please be aware there will be some louder sounds and frequencies, which people with sound senitivites may not enjoy.
The following people should consult their doctor before the first use of sound healing:
• People with carotid stenosis, cardiac pacemakers, artificial heart valves, or cardiac arrhythmias
• People with a stent, a shunt, or a deep brain stimulation device (DBS)
• People with epilepsy or recent head injuries
• Pregnant women (not suitable for those in their first trimester)
• People with PTSD, clinical depression, bipolar or any serious mental health conditions.
