What is a Sound Bath Meditation?

A Sound Bath is a beautiful meditative concert-like experience where one would witness a certified Sound Healing Practitioner play harmonious notes and sounds created by using various musical instruments like Tibetan/Himalayan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs, Chimes, Harps, Drums and other resonant instruments. While the participant is encouraged to sit or lay down in a comfortable position, a bath of soothing sound waves and healing frequencies will be sent washing over the body, encouraging deep relaxation and the release of any stored tension, stress and anxiety, while stimulating the brain into a meditative state. The 7 Main Chakra Singing Bowls will each be played near the body and over the associated chakras, for targeted chakra balancing, activation and clearing.

What is a Sound Massage?

During the sound bath meditation, Tibetan and Himalayan Singing Bowls will be placed directly on the body and played. The Weight of the Singing Bowls when placed directly on parts of the body and played, will send massage-like vibrations felt deep within the body, releasing energetic, physical and emotional blockages, while shaking out any stored tension held in muscles, joints and vital organs. The massaging sound vibrations and healing frequencies will force the body's internal systems to reset, even on a cellular level, promoting deep healing. The 7 Main Chakra Singing Bowls will each be placed and played directly on the body, on top of the associated chakras, for targeted chakra balancing, activation and clearing. ( Please Note!!! For Safety Concerns, the Singing Bowls cannot be placed or played anywhere on the body that has had recent surgery within the past 3 months; or has any metal plates/metal rods inserted; or on the stomach/torso area if pregnant, or on the chest if have pacemaker. All participants will be asked at the beginning of the session to provide verbal confirmation assuming knowledge of safety concerns and liability).

What is Reiki? What is Crystal Reiki?

Reiki is a hands-on natural healing modality where a certified Reiki Practitioner acts as a conduit between the client and the source of the universal life force energy. The energy flows through the practitioner’s hands to the client. A Reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing calming radiance, flowing through and around the body. Before every session, Mel Rio channels Reiki into the room, the singing bowls and the healing crystals in order to clear and charge the energy and to prepare a safe and “proper healing environment" for the session. Healing Crystals (semi-precious gemstones) are programmed and charged with Reiki in order to work on the body to balance and provide color therapy to each of the chakras, and to provide mental, emotional and physical support during the session. A personalized Chakra Crystal Energy Healing & Balancing Body Layout will be created for each client during the session, helping to bring the body and its energy centers back to balance and harmony.

Leave a Sound Bath Meditation + Sound Massage + Crystal Reiki Healing session feeling more balanced, centered and relaxed with any pain, tension or anxiety felt before the session greatly reduced. The combination of Reiki and Sound Healing is a powerful method used to attune the mind, body and spirit to higher frequencies and open up the energy channels (chakras and meridians) to flow freely by removing blockages in the body that are caused by stress, anxiety and other emotional and environmental trauma.

This is a full 2 hour intensive healing crystal reiki sound bath and massage session. 30 minutes extra have been added to allow time for a proper introduction and discussion before and after the session. Not only is every participant receiving a sound therapy and reiki session, each one receives their very own personalized sonic sound massage and chakra balancing crystal body layout. So it's like receiving 3 treatments in one (Sound Therapy + Vibrational Therapy + Crystal Reiki = "Sonic Crystal Reiki" = The Ultimate Energy Healing Experience). By the end of the session, the 7 main energy centers of the body (chakras) will be open and balanced, improving the flow of energy around the body which promotes relaxation, relieves pain, and speeds up healing. After a session, most people leave feeling more empathic (more open to "seeing" and "feeling" with their heart with increased intuition) as well as more open to receiving and giving love, compassion, and abundance.

Each group session will max out at 6 people so that more personal attention can be given to each attendee. Group sessions will remain small to ensure a safe space for healing. This is not a typical sound bath experience or sound meditation. This experience is only for those serious about starting their own individual healing journeys and are ok with being totally immersed in sound and powerful vibrations. In a “Sonic Crystal Reiki” sound bath, participants will be encouraged to release blockages and emotions as they interact as much as possible with the healing energy of crystals and powerful sound vibrations.

No meditation experience is required. All you have to do during the session is try to relax and be open to receiving the sounds and massaging vibrations from Tibetan Singing Bowls when played over and on the body. And try to connect with the Healing and Balancing Energy from Crystals when placed on or near the body. You will be encouraged to either sit or lay down on the floor. Chairs are available for those who cannot sit or lay down on the floor. (Please advise before session if a chair will be needed).

Yoga Mats, Rugs, Pillows, Towels, Eye Coverings and Blankets will be provided.

No Walk-Ins. No exceptions. The studio and meditation room have to be prepared for the session in advance. Reservations have to be made in advance in order to attend. Registration Online is the only Guaranteed Reservation. Cancellations and Requests to Reschedule and/or to Transfer Tickets to another date must be received 24 hrs before the session for a refund or transfer request to be accepted. Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable. No Show Attendee tickets will not be refunded/transferred.

Please keep/bring minimal personal belongings. Space is extremely limited. Management will not be responsible for any personal belongings left behind, lost or stolen.

All current NYC Covid-19 city guidelines will be followed. Mask mandates are rapidly changing and we are a compassionate crowd! Please bring one if needed and wear one when appropriate or asked. We will comply with all mandates as they roll out closer to the event date and ask for your cooperation and empathy.

Additionally, exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit. The CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from Coronavirus. Attendees should evaluate their own risk in determining whether to attend. Don't come if you're sick, showing symptoms or if you have been exposed and may be contagious. People who show no symptoms can still spread the Coronavirus. Any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to Coronavirus. By coming to the group sound bath session, you acknowledge and agree that you assume these inherent risks associated with attendance.

All group sessions are video recorded by the Management for safety and insurance purposes. By attending you agree to be video recorded. Management may use copies of the video recordings at their own discretion.
