Full Moon Cacao & Sound Ceremony w Joey Greiner & Orlando Villarraga

Join us Saturday September 13th at Alchemia Studio in Brooklyn at 3pm for a very special journey with Constanza, a Chilean Sound Preistess, visiting from Los Angeles.

Cacao is much more that just the fruit chocolate comes from. It is known by the Mayans and other indigenous communities as the Food of the Gods. It’s known as a Heart Opener because it’s promotes healthy blood flow and a sense of happiness and well-being.

Cacao Ceremony led by Joey Greiner, a student of Nana Marina Cruz from Guatemala in the Mayan traditions of Cacao & the Chol Q'ij sacred calendar. Joey is a musician, spiritual guide & founder of the Converge community. Joey has been studying with many spiritual teachers of various lineages for over 20 years. He works regularly supporting indigenous leaders in ceremony and in their environmental acitions.

In this circle, we’ll connect with all the elements and ourselves in community with intention and music, while drinking the delicious beverage.

Sound Journey with Orlando Villarraga

Orlando Villarraga is a poet, musician, and visual artist. As an ally to the Teyuna indigenous tribes of Colombia, Villarraga contributes as an interpreter and organizer to help bridge communication of ancient earth-based philosophy to the Western world, and supporting tribal communities in the process of living in a postcolonial society. A cofounder of the Resonance Experience, a group of innovators revealing the power of experiential sound in “refreshing” how we listen to the world, Villarraga’s work includes guiding deep personal inquiries in the form of sound meditation. He is currently a fellow of the Garrison Institute.
