Full Moon Beach Sound Bath 25th St. Newport Tuesday June 18th

The full moon is the phase when the sun illuminates the entire moon, making her as full, round, and bright as can be. This phase represents completion, fertility, abundance, and transformation, when the seeds from the new moon come into bloom. Because the moon is directly opposite the sun during this phase, it can also be a time of friction, polarity, and more-intense emotional energy. Everything is in full illumination, which also means it’s a good time to look honestly at the full spectrum of what is or is not working for you. With this higher energy also come more outward connection and celebration. Plus, your psychic abilities may be more awake—so listen closely to what you intuitively want to shed, let go of, and release. Full moon energy can be honored the day before, the day of, and the day after the actual full moon.

The Ritual: Crystal Charging

The full moon is an excellent time to charge your crystals. Place your crystals somewhere they will be exposed to the moonlight, such as on your windowsill or outside in a safe and dry spot. Leave them out for up to forty-eight hours so that they can soak up as much of this cosmic juice as possible. The full moon will cleanse and activate your crystals.

Bring all your gear and dress in layers as we set in to start at 7pm as the sun sets over the west coast! Bring your blankets and pillows so you can really sink in maybe bring an eye mask or a soft towel to drape over you forehead and eyes. Imagine the waves of the healing sound gently massage your body and mind at the cell level inviting you to a deep relaxation and the mindful moment.

Sound bath is a therapeutic, relaxing and meditative experience whereby you “bathe” in the sound produced by different instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, and chimes etc.

By immersing yourselves in the healing sound and its vibration,

the tonal frequencies produced by the instruments help bringing your body and mind to a state of vibrational balance and harmony, slowing down your brain waves to a deeply restorative and meditative state and activating your body’s system of self healing.

Sound healing works primarily through the principles of entrainment and resonant frequency. Entrainment is the natural process of a rhythmic pattern, which induces other organisms to fall into the same rhythm. An obvious example would be when we hear music and begin to clap our hands or tap our feet to the rhythm. However, entrainment can be used in subtler ways as well. In sound therapy, it may be used to entrain brainwaves to a slower rhythm, in order to bring about a state of deep relaxation.

Every object is vibrating—the rate at which it vibrates is its resonant frequency. Think of the body like a symphony orchestra with all parts (muscles, bones, organs, cells, etc.) having their own frequencies which, when healthy, are all in perfect rhythm and harmony. When the body systems become compromised due to physical or emotional causes, certain frequencies are affected and literally become out of tune. Just as in an orchestra, when one instrument is out of tune, nothing sounds right! Everything is affected. With sound therapy, utilizing various instruments and tones, the body is gently brought back to its natural state of harmony.
