About this Event

Fugolburna, the Anglo Saxon name for Fulbourn meaning 'stream frequented by birds', is a documentary film produced by Fulbourn Forum which is a call to protect and restore the area's iconic chalk streams currently in crisis due to over-abstraction of water from the chalk aquifer. It celebrates the beautiful Fulbourn Fen Nature Reserve and beyond, and shows the efforts made by the local community and environment groups to support nature recovery, and to maintain and improve the health of local ecosystems.

The film duration is 1hr 12 minutes. For those who wish to stay, there is a short Q&A after the screening.

The Storey's Field Centre bar will be open before the event from 6.30pm.

There is limited parking in Eddington which is free from 6.00pm. However, the Madingley Road Park&Ride site is just a 5 minute walk away.

Fugolburna had its premiere on 10 May 2024 at the Fulbourn Centre to a capacity audience.

This is a FREE EVENT although a small donation towards hall hire costs would be appreciated.
