Travel Team Tryouts/Practices
Any player who wishes to tryout for any of the open spots in our Cadet travel program needs to attend the following tryout
the travel team coaches will select the players to participate in local tournaments of which FSHL will help subsidize the entry fee. (Board will vote on which tournaments to subsidize on 3/24/2021).

Roster sizes are dictated by tournament rules, and the size of the roster will be set by each team’s coach.
Notes:
1) Travel teams are completely separate from regular season house league teams
2) Participation in house leagues does not entitle players to play, nor is it required to be a house league player to make a travel team. Travel teams are select teams
3) Players will participate on the team selected and for the coach assigned to that team. There will be no stipulations prior to team selections of coach preference or to be selected to a team in order to play with another particular player.
4) Although the purpose of travel is to improve FSHL player abilities, it is also to be taken seriously with a high level of commitment, as not only do these teams represent FSHL in tournament play, but they are expected to compete at a higher level.
5) Any player who would like to tryout for a division above their age group may only do so if they commit to playing in their age appropriate division, unless there is an agreement from their other coach. For example, a tournament age 9yr old who wants to be selected to the Beaver Div. team MUST also play for the age appropriate Penguin team.
Ages are determined as of Jan 1, 2021
• Penguins (7,8,9)
• Beavers (10,11,12)
• Cadets (13,14,15)
An example of the tournaments FSHL subsidized the tournament entry fees in 2018:
US Nationals, Leominster, May 24th-27th
NE Classic, Leominster, June 15-17th
Raider Cup, Fitchburg, June 21st-24th
Mylec Cup, Winchendon, July 25th-28th
