Frontline Leadership Workshop

DESCRIPTION

Learn problem-solving techniques, systems thinking, leadership, professionalism, and other skills to optimize quality patient/family centered care.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism as it relates to the frontline leader role.
• Value their role in the promotion of professional nursing practice and nursing leadership.
• Demonstrate problem-solving techniques using a systems-thinking approach.
• Demonstrate effective communication.
• Apply quality standards in practice using PQMS foundations.
• Facilitate an optimal patient experience.
• Value communication as a crucial aspect of error prevention and provision of quality patient and family-centered care.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

• This continuing education (CE) course is offered through Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford by the Center for Professional Excellence and Inquiry (CPEI). Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 9713, approved for 3.0 contact hours.
• Contact hours awarded for full program attendance only. Partial credit will not be given for partial attendance.

TARGET AUDIENCE

• Stanford Children's Health LPCH Employees: Charge nurses, RNs in Specialty Roles, or any staff leading teams.

REGISTRATION and FEES

• Stanford Children's Health LPCH Registered Nurses = FREE with RN continuing education (CE) credits
• Other Stanford Children's LPCH Employees = FREE

CHANGES ON REGISTRATION

• Transfers: Approval depends on seats availability.
• Waitlist: Order of approval on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Cancellation: Submit request at least 3 business days prior the class/event starts.
• Cancellation by CPEI: Schedules, venues and details are subject to change and cancellation. Registered participants will be provided with as much advance notice as possible if this should occur.
