Frontier Fourth of July
July 4, 2026
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Free
Celebrate America’s 250th birthday at Frontier Fourth! You can enjoy a piece of birthday cake and add your signature to a giant replication of the Declaration of Independence. We’ll have historic games and make-and-take activities, including fans, flags and patriotic buttons called cockades. There will be Living Craft demonstrations by costumed interpreters and music by Artists United as well as Starr Mitchell and George West.
Take part in the event’s culmination – a parade around the grounds while singing Yankee Doodle, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and historic toasts followed by a hearty “Huzzah!” by our guests. And as always, cool off with some ice-cold lemonade and watermelon!
