Join The Frontier for a celebration of 10 years of investigative journalism.On April 29 The Frontier will speak with Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols about his goals and the challenges of his first year in office. Past and present Frontier journalists will also discuss the outlet’s history and the future of nonprofit journalism.
The Frontier was founded in 2015 by former Tulsa World Publisher Bobby Lorton, who wanted to create an outlet focused on investigative journalism. The Frontier became a nonprofit in 2016, and now has eight full-time reporters on staff, with offices in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
The event will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 29 at the Tulsa Central Library, 400 Civic Center.
The event is free to attend, but donations are accepted. Food will be provided, and drinks are available.
