For those of you that are connected to this page, we invite you to come out and join us on one of our walks. No obligation- just show up, introduce yourself and walk with us for an hour. We’d love to see some new faces.
Here’s a listing of the next couple of walks:
This Sun. 9/7, we’re meeting at the Hillside Little League field parking lot, 83rd & Western at 10am. We’ll walk for an hour, with an optional brunch afterwards.
Wednesday, 9/10, we’re at Elmwood Park, at 6:30, meeting in the big parking lot by the baseball diamond close to 67th & Pacific St. Again, we meet, then do an hour walk, with a set place for optional dinner, listed on our monthly calendar. This Wed., we’ll be eating at Gold Mountain in Aksarben.
One of the reasons I’m reaching out, is to try to connect to people who do lots of scrolling, “like” a lot of things, but don’t seem to actually get involved with a group like ours. It’s more than just scrolling and liking: it’s a group that does something social, healthy, and we help people get out of the rut of just: wake up, work, eat, TV, phone, sleep, and repeat.
