About this Event
From the Source: Peru & Brazil Coffee Cupping
Join us at CoRo for a cupping table featuring 12 unique coffees from Peru and Brazil, presented by people who work directly with the producers. We’ll talk about flavor, origin, and what relationship-based sourcing looks like at farm level.
What to expect:
- An origin overview with producer stories of sustainability, resilience, and innovation from Amazonian Peru and Brazil’s Cerrado Mineiro.
- A seated cupping of 12 coffees: washed, natural, and other carefully handled lots that showcase the range of each region.
- Open conversation about long-term, relationship-based sourcing and regenerative production practices.
The coffees:
Peru — Washed and natural lots from the Amazonas region and central Peru, grown by smallholder producer groups and native communities in the Peruvian highlands.
Brazil — Regional and microlots from São Pedro da Canastra in the region of Cerrado Mineiro, spanning multiple processing styles.
Presented by:
James Astuhuaman, sustainability specialist and exporter. James works closely with specialty coffee producer groups focused on regenerative agriculture, quality improvement, and direct trade from the highlands of Peru and the Cerrado Mineiro region in Brazil.
