Motherhood changes our bodies in every season of life—from the fourth trimester and sleepless nights with little ones to the hormonal shifts of perimenopause and beyond. Yet many moms find themselves struggling with fatigue, brain fog, stress, mood changes, weight concerns, and other symptoms without clear answers.
Join us as Dr. Melanie Thornton (Doctor of Botanical Medicine, PhD, DBM and Doctor of Natural Medicine, DNM) shares how a functional medicine approach can help moms better understand their health, uncover root causes of common concerns, and support wellness through every stage of motherhood.
Whether you're navigating postpartum recovery, raising young children, balancing family life, or entering perimenopause, this conversation will provide practical insights and encouragement for your health journey.
Melanie is also a devoted follower of Christ and has served as a missionary abroad and currently works in full time ministry.

❓What is Mom Talk Friday❓
Mom Talk Friday is a monthly event hosted by Ballston Spa Mom's Group and open to all moms out there.
On the fourth Friday of each month (this month, it is on the fifth Friday), we gather as moms, get the chance to meet new mom friends and be inspired together. We make connections, laugh and take a much needed break!!
Every month we have:::
👉Ice breaker games and a special gift for first time attendees
☕Coffee/tea/refreshments
📓Mom-focused speakers, discussions and engaging themes
🚼⛹️⛹️♀️Free, optional childcare
Each childcare volunteer has a valid background check and are “Safe Place” certified. Feel free to keep your children with you if you feel more comfortable doing so.
