Join the Irish Youth Wind Ensemble for an extraordinary evening of storytelling through sound performed by over 70 of Ireland’s finest young musicians under the baton of Artistic Director Ronan O'Reilly.
This year’s performance celebrates the extraordinary breadth of the wind ensemble in a programme that travels across continents and emotions.
From the bustling energy of New York to the nostalgic soul of Porto, from moments of profound stillness to flights of fantasy, the programme features:

About IYWE
Formed in 1985 by James Cavanagh and Colonel Fred O’Callaghan, IYWE has just celebrated its ruby anniversary. It is one of the lasting legacies of European Music Year, when the Ensemble was one of many artistic initiatives throughout Ireland. That IYWE has survived and flourished for over four decades is due to the enthusiasm and vision of its founders, the talent and enthusiasm of its members and the efforts and commitment volunteered by numerous supporters.
The concert takes place in The Great Hall at IMMA Venues.
