About this Event

“From Script Supervisor to Director: Mastering the Craft, the Set, and the Career Path” is an event featuring Patricia Frontain, an industry professional with 25+ years of experience.

Patricia began her filmmaking career as a script supervisor for feature films, episodic television, and commercials. Most notably, she served as the main script supervisor for NBC's Chicago PD for over a decade.

Patricia made her network directorial debut with “Twisted Sister”, starring Mena Suvari. Since then, she has directed “Surviving the Sleepover” and “Trapped in the Rockies”—also for Lifetime Network.

Before directing television, Patricia was at the helm of many short films. Most notable are “Light”, starring Marina Squerciati and Amy Morton, and “The Follower”, starring Jon Seda and Kara Killmer.

She is also the creative force behind the nationally aired anti-gun violence Public Service Announcements entitled “Shattered”, which feature actors from Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, and Chicago MED.

Her career is a testament to building a sustainable path in film and TV—without leaving Chicago.

This event will take you inside her journey, from script supervision to directing, and reveal how to thrive in the industry with clarity, confidence, and craft.

Patricia is celebrated for her honesty, warmth, and knack for offering practical, time-saving advice that propels careers forward in the industry.

Whether you're a screenwriter, director, actor, producer, or creative professional aiming to advance your career in film and TV, this event is packed with the insights and inspiration you need to succeed!
