About this Event
In this glorious afternoon recital, we celebrate two hundred years of Jewish vocal music. From secular poetry set by Jewish composers initially performed in 19th century music salons, to Jewish poetry and the liturgy sung in great synagogues, tenor Arieh Sacke treats us to the music of Offenbach, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Finzi, Toronto’s own Srul Glick, plus a few pleasant surprises. It’s an exquisite hour of music performed by a superb vocalist!
Accompanied on piano by Narmina Afandiyeva
