From Reims to the Sea: An Evening with Ruinart
About this Event
Founded in 1729, Ruinart is the oldest established Champagne house in the world. Built on the elegance and purity of Chardonnay, its wines are shaped by the ancient chalk cellars beneath Reims, carved from the same limestone that gives the region its character.
This evening, we bring that heritage to the table. Three cuvées, each paired with freshly shucked Canadian oysters, hosted by Nishka Menon.
The Pairings:
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs
Brilliant pale yellow with hints of almond green. Ripe lemon, juicy pear and peach on the nose, lifted by white flowers and a spicy touch of ginger and pink peppercorn. The palate balances tension with roundness, finishing long and delicate.
Ruinart Rosé
The freshness of Chardonnay meets the fruitiness of Pinot Noir. Bright, elegant, and lifted by red fruit and berry notes.
Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2013
The prestige cuvée of the house. Distinguished by great freshness and marked tension. A wine of depth, precision and quiet authority.
Each guest will be served six freshly shucked Canadian oysters alongside tasting pours of all three cuvées, allowing you to savour and compare each expression as the evening unfolds.
