FROM PUERTO RICO TO CHICAGO
About this Event
How does one family’s journey reflect the larger history of Puerto Rican migration to Chicago?
Join photographer Carlos Flores and exhibition co-curator Prof. Marisa Alicea for
a conversation exploring the Flores family’s migration, Carlos’s childhood in Chicago,
and the experiences that shaped his identity and connection to community.
Through family photographs, personal memories, and archival images not included in
the exhibition, discover the stories behind the photographer and the family’s place in Chicago’s Puerto Rican history.
Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Carlos Flores: A ChicagoRican Story, on view through June 30, 2027.
