Are you curious about how to transform your favorite photograph into textile art, but intimidated by how complex it seems? In this class, students will learn how to create a pattern inspired by their very own photographs and images. While Sarah will be highlighting how she uses this technique to design her quilts, the lessons learned in this workshop can also be applied to other media applications, such as embroidery. Students will leave the class with a pattern they’ve created from inspirational images of their choosing.Supplies: Students should bring 2-3 reference images of their choosing, approximately 8” x 10” in size so facial details are clearly visible. Alternatively, students may bring magazines, old calendars, or other images.
