About this Event
Craft Beauty from the Ordinary
Discover the art of decorative carving in this hands-on class with master woodcarver , affectionately known as “The Norwegian Termite.” Turn ordinary wooden bowls and plates into stunning works of art while learning how to upcycle and elevate items you already own. Whether you’re hiding chips, adding intricate flourishes, or creating something entirely new, Jock will guide you every step of the way.
What You’ll Learn:
• How to properly hold and use a carving knife.
• Techniques for different types of cuts and working with wood grain.
• Finishing techniques to bring out the best in your design.
Carving knives and safety gloves will be provided. Don’t have a wooden bowl or plate to transform? No problem—Jock will have materials available for you to use!
And that’s not all—this class coincides with Norway House’s Hygge Happy Hour, where you can enjoy cozy vibes, delicious bites, and BOGO beer or wine specials. Feel free to bring your drink into class and make it a creative and relaxing evening!
Spaces are limited, so secure your spot today and bring your creativity to life!
Please Note: All registrations for Norway House classes and programs are final. Refunds and class credits are not available, so we kindly encourage you to confirm your availability for the scheduled date before registering. Thank you for your understanding and support of our programming!
