From Parade to Policy: The Early Childhood After Party
About this Event
FROM PARADE TO POLICY:
The Early Childhood After Party
It’s the perfect chance to relax, connect, and dive into discussions that shape the future. Whether you marched in the parade or just love the cause, this after party is where ideas turn into real change. Don’t miss out on the fun, community, and inspiring conversations!
Following the Liberty Hill Juneteenth Parade, families, early educators, community leaders, and advocates are invited to join the BEE Collective and Tricounty Play Collaborative for "From Parade to Policy: The Early Childhood After Party."
This family-friendly gathering combines celebration, community care, and advocacy. Families with babies and young children are invited to cool off after the parade, enjoy free ice cream and refreshments, connect with community resources and learn about issues impacting young children, families, and the early childhood workforce.
The event will also feature a Community Data Walk highlighting findings from our recently released Early Education Policy Brief, a community-led research project supported by the National Women's Law Center, Ubuntu Research, and the South Carolina Sparking Change Storytellers. Family giveaways including Gullah Swim Academy Swim Classes!
The people who care for our youngest children are the workforce behind every workforce. Juneteenth reminds us that freedom requires more than celebration—it requires action. Through storytelling, community research, and collective advocacy, we are working toward a future where children, families, and early educators can thrive.
