OBJECTIVES:
- Describe the core features of ADHD across the lifespan, including how symptoms may present differently in children, adolescents, and adults, and how these presentations affect social, academic, and occupational functioning.
- Differentiate evidence-based understanding of ADHD and vaccine safety from common myths and misinformation, particularly those encountered in clinical, school, and community settings.
- Explain the role of vaccines in public health and individual protection using clear, non-technical language appropriate for counseling clients and families with varying levels of health literacy.
- Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive communication strategies when discussing ADHD diagnoses or vaccine hesitancy with clients, caregivers, or multidisciplinary teams.
- Identify the unique role of the therapists and social workers within interprofessional care, including advocacy, psychoeducation, care coordination, and ethical boundaries when addressing ADHD treatment plans or vaccine-related concerns
