From Heaven Above: The 2024 FPC Christmas Concert

Annual Christmas Concerts at First Pres have become a much anticipated event in the Quad Cities. This year there will just be one concert, on the fourth Sunday of December. This celebration of Christmas will feature many of the church's beloved ensembles: the Sanctuary Choir, Chamber Chorale, Vesper Bells, and the newly formed Quad City Youth Choir, accompanied by full orchestra and Principal Organist Alex Gilson.

This year’s concert features many beloved Christmas carols, centered around Felix Mendelssohn’s sparkling cantata Vom Himmel Hoch (“From Heaven Above”). We are thrilled to partner once again with Safer Foundation of Quad Cities, a nonprofit that assists people with arrest and conviction records with reentry into society, and their families with basic needs while their loved ones are imprisoned.
