About this Event

In this edition, Senior Director of Institutional and Community Equity, Roger Moreano, will take us through a presentation and dialogue,"Denial is the Heartbeat of Racism".

The title of the event is derived from a quote by noted author and professor Ibram X. Kendi and provides the foundation to explore the sociological phenomenon of how the denial of the existence of systemic racism and anti-blackness is a feature of our society that has existed for centuries. This denial has exasperated systemic disparities and has intensified the divides in our society. Come learn the history of denial and what steps are needed to move our society forward!

This event is FREE to the public, though donations are always welcome. We hope to see you!

This session will be led by Roger Moreano, Senior Director of Institutional and Community Equity.
