Join Mr. Ted Ellis, Director of FSU’s Civil Rights Institute, for a hybrid (in-person and virtual) discussion and exploration of the history of slavery, its impact, and the significance of Juneteenth. This hybrid event also highlights the struggle to end slavery in the United States and the ongoing importance of civil rights.Mr. Ellis has been involved in researching and preserving the story and history of Juneteenth through art for the past 20 years.
