Immerse yourself in a creative and colourful workshop inspired by the enchanting designs of May Morris, the pioneering daughter of William Morris.
Delve into the beauty of botanical pattern as you create your own striking floral painting and discover how to transform it into a seamless repeating design. The designs of May Morris were filled with intertwining flowers, leaves and birds, which you will use as inspiration for your own ideas. Using watercolours and gouache, you will learn how to layer colour and detail to create depth, movement and decorative detail.
By the end of the session you’ll leave with a beautifully crafted design full of character—and a new artistic skill to enjoy.
This is a great workshop for anyone with an interest in Arts and Crafts style, lovers of interior design and anyone captivated by the natural world, colour and pattern.
Led by Katie Tyson, an experienced printed textile designer for the fashion industry, you’ll be guided every step of the way in a warm, friendly, and relaxed environment, making this workshop ideal for beginners and experienced creatives alike.
All materials are provided, just bring your curiosity and your enthusiasm.
We are delighted to welcome Katie Tyson to lead this workshop. Book your space on their website, via the booking link on this page.
