An exhibition of unique, hand-crafted works of art in wood, stone and metal, inspired by nature, Jewish themes and a creative spirit.

From traveling gypsy to family man, landscape gardener, musician and grandpa, Mordecai has been making unique artistic pieces in silver, gold and semi-precious stones for over 40 years. More recently he has integrated native Australian woods into his creative practice.
Largely self-taught, and inspired by his love of life, nature and Jewish themes, his work is both functional and decorative.
From candlesticks and bowls, to boxes, miniature gardens, prayer books, beautiful jewellery and landscapes, each of Mordecai’s works tells a story.
“I am driven to create beautiful things with materials I’ve collected on my journey. I can’t wait to sit down in my workshop each day and see where the materials and my imagination
take me.”
Mordecai has held several private exhibitions and been represented by stores in Melbourne. This exhibition will be his largest yet, incorporating many newer works in wood,
stone and metal.
The exhibition runs from Sunday, October 11 th through Thursday, October 1 th at a Caulfield location. Mordecai will be in attendance for the duration. At the opening event on Sunday October 11th, he will share more about his creative journey and inspiration.
Visitors are requested to register their interest in order to receive location details.
