From Darkness to Light: Rachmaninoff All Night Vigil & Gjeilo Sunrise Mass

Two extraordinary choral works trace a musical journey from the spiritual intensity of Rachmaninoff to the luminous optimism of Gjeilo.
About this Event

Experience two extraordinary choral works in a journey from night to dawn. We begin in the shadows with the deep sonorities and spiritual intensity of Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil (Vespers). From there, the music gradually opens into the luminous optimism of Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass. Together, these works trace a path from contemplation to renewal, ending in a message of hope and light.
