Join us May 8 at 7PM to hear from Andrew Heyward, former President of CBS News and nationally recognized expert on the changing media landscape. Heyward will take the stage at the Tilden Arts Center to talk about the political, economic and cultural threats facing trustworthy journalism and what we can do to see that it not only survives but thrives. The evening is sure to be informative and thought-provoking. You won’t want to miss it.Heyward, a resident of Chatham MA and Woodstock VT, is an award-winning broadcast news producer and executive. He currently advises local TV stations on digital strategy and video storytelling. He is a senior advisor at MIT’s Center for Constructive Communication, where he works at the intersection of journalism and technology, including generative AI. Heyward has also done research on innovation in local television news and on ways to restore trust in journalism.
Before his ten-year term as CBS News President, Heyward was executive producer of the CBS Evening News and developed and launched the weekly primetime program 48 Hours.
