Prior to this position, Diana was an Assurance Manager with Ernst & Young, LLP. In this role, she gained experience auditing various private and publicly traded companies in the gaming and hospitality industry.

Magali (“Maggie”) Leal is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Nevada and is currently a Senior Analyst in the External Financial Reporting group at Southwest Gas Corporation, focused on administering the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance program and also chairs the company’s Hispanic and Latin American employee resource group “Adelante”. She launched her career at Ernst and Young, LLP (“EY”) in the Assurance practice, where she spent five years.

She was first introduced to ALPFA through EY’s Latino Network, an employee resource group, that offered her the opportunity to attend the ALPFA National Convention in 2018. The ALPFA National Convention experience motivated her to join the ALPFA Las Vegas chapter board in 2020 as Director of Membership, and she now serves as Treasurer. Her goal is to support ALPFA’s mission of empowering and developing Latino men and women into leaders of character. Her commitment to the community has led her to volunteer with local organizations like Junior Achievement.

Her parents immigrated from Durango, Mexico and settled in Las Vegas with her two brothers and sister. Maggie was raised in Las Vegas and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Outside of work and community involvement, Maggie enjoys spending quality time with her family, which includes her husband and son. She also enjoys soccer, both as a spectator and a player.
