On February 20, Madam Walker Legacy Center welcomes Victor Luckerson, author of Built from the Fire: The Epic Story of Tulsa’s Greenwood District, America’s Black Wall Street as keynote speaker for a panel discussion of Tulsa’s 1921 massacre.
Guest panelists include Jeremey Wilson, professor of anthropology, Indiana University Indianapolis, and lead bioarchaeologist, 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Investigation; Olon Dotson, professor and chair, Department of Architecture, Ball State University; and A’Lelia Bundles, award-winning journalist and author of On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C.J. Walker and Joy Goddess: A’Lelia Walker and the Harlem Renaissance.
