From Belfast to Buffalo: A Tribute to Van Morrison was formed in 2017 by drummer and vocalist Jim Doersam as part of his tribute series with The Jimmy D Band. However, the lineup’s chemistry was already well-established. In previous years, guitarist Dave Ruch had assembled the same group of musicians to perform hits from the ’70s and ’80s under the names “Dave Ruch and Friends” and later “AM Gold.”
This band boasts an impressive roster of accomplished musicians. Dave Ruch, on guitar and vocals, and Joe Bellanti, on keys and vocals, are two-thirds of the nationally recognized band Organ Fairchild, frequently featured on major festival lineups. Sue Kincaid, providing vocals and percussion, has built a celebrated career collaborating with Buffalo’s top musicians, with standout performances in projects like Garden Party. Brad Robbins, on bass and vocals, is a founding member of Slip Madigan, a popular band known for its original music. Jim Doersam, on drums and vocals, continues to perform with notable acts like Little Mountain Band and Into the Now.
Together, this talented lineup brings Van Morrison’s timeless music to life with passion, energy, and exceptional artistry. With their dynamic performances and rich musical history, “From Belfast to Buffalo” pays tribute to one of the greatest artists of all time, delighting audiences wherever they perform.
