Cape Cod sure is WILD! Aren't we lucky to be almost entirely surrounded by water? Whether you're tasting the salty brine of the oyster, your toes are sinking into the sand at Mayflower Beach, your skin is soaking in the sun while rocking gently in the bay, or even while driving over the canal bridges, there is always something fascinating to appreciate when it comes to the marine life of our beautiful New England peninsula. Here is a chance to informally chat about the oddball mola mola (ocean sunfish) flopping its crazy flippers at the surface, the technicolor blob-like comb jellies luminescing in the waves, the prehistoric horseshoe crabs crawling ashore on full moon nights, and the adventuresome migration of the gregarious humpback whale, among others! In preparation for what hopes to be an incredible outdoor season, Lindsay will let this interactive talk go where it takes us, and offer some items to touch from her own collection foraged from Cape Cod beaches. Sharing your own exciting wildlife encounters will be a delightful addition and bringing your own beach-combed treasures to view is absolutely encouraged.
