From Avant Garde to Afongad – A Happening

Dr Sarah Pogoda and Welsh Art Group NWK (Neue Walisische Kunst - New Welsh Art) invite you to join in an exploration of the artistic Avant Garde in North Wales, past, present and future. Learn how artists in Wales have developed subversive strategies to enhance the experience of arts and life. Have a go at being part of an Avant Garde ‘happening’ as together we perform an autopsy of The Golden Buoy in order to investigate the Death of the Avant Garde, once famously announced by Peter Buerger. Explore the ways in which the energy of the Avant Garde can be revived to help us on the journey to our own artistic adventures. The event will be fully accessible.
