Frog Watch 2024

Frog Watch is a community science effort. The first meeting is an informational meeting in the shop on June 21st at 5:30 pm. Beck Speer from the Naples Preserve will walk us through the idea behind Frog Watch, the big picture of how widespread it actually is, and what we hope to find.

The next three dates will all be in the field!! We will have 3 locations each evening, all in close proximity to each other. Everyone will meet at the shop and can carpool from there to the other spots.

Once we get to the desired spot, we will listen for 3 minutes. We will identify which frog species we can hear and compare our notes with each other. We will be recording data from each stop, including the weather conditions. Along the way, you'll see other cool creatures that come out at night and meet some awesome people!!

The stops include: Naples Outfitters, Botanical Gardens, and East Naples Community Park.
