About this Event
Attendees at Fritay Night will enjoy a delicious, traditional Haitian Fritay Night meal created by renowned chef, author, and entrepreneur Nadege Fleurimond. Our guest of honor is famed Haitian author, activist, and professor, Edwidge Danticat (pictured below), who will treat guests to a preview of her forthcoming book, “,” to be released this fall. Tickets also include a copy of Danticant's book - a week before it's released in stores!
The event will be held at Fêtes de Fleur in Brooklyn, a bright and welcoming indoor/outdoor venue. Tickets include your fritay meal and our signature cocktail, a Haitian rum sour, or a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice.
Proceeds from this fun-filled, community event will benefit our poverty eradication programs in rural southern Haiti. Hope for Haiti has been recognized over the past 35 years for its dedication to transparency and earning donor trust through thoughtful stewardship of its funding. We are proud to be a 4-star rated charity by Charity Navigator and a participant at the Platinum Level through the GuideStar Exchange, two leading independent evaluators recognizing our transparency and careful stewardship of donor resources.
