Celebrating all things Cumbia we host two of Edinburghs leading groups.
23:00 The Cumbiatones
Cumbiatones isa dynamic, Edinburgh-based psychedelic cumbia band. Formed in 2021, they fuse traditional rhythms from Peru (Chicha music), Argentina, and Colombia with rock, psychedelia, and blues. The multicultural group features members from Chile, Argentina, Spain, and Scotland, turning their gigs into massive dance parties.
01:00 Los Chichanos
Los Chichanos is a fiercely multicultural band based in Edinburgh, Scotland, known for playing "chicha" (psychedelic Peruvian cumbia) and jungle cumbia. Known for hosting vibrant, late-night tropical fiestas across the UK, they recently released their debut EP on 7-inch vinyl with London's Ritmo Del Barrio label, featuring original tracks like "Caballo Salvaje" and "Cumbia de la Noche".
