About this Event
Hello friends!
Well, okay, here’s how it started—back during the COVID pandemic, we decided to have a Friendsgiving, not knowing who would show up. We had the turkey, the trimmings, the music, and a circle for inspirational sharing. Unbelievably, a hundred people showed up! There was so much love, laughter, and connection that day, we knew it was something special.❤️❤️❤️❤️
So it’s time to do it again.
This year, we invite you to join Jay Miah, Ron Flurnoy, and Marya Flurnoy for a Saturday Friendsgiving in the park. Together, we’ll celebrate the joy of friendship, the grace of gratitude, and embrace the truth that gratitude is the attitude. Special sharing is at the heart of this gathering—bringing thanks, stories, laughter, and inspiration from everyone present.
The songs we’ll sing together:
“Imagine,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Lean on Me,” “Here Comes the Sun,”
“What a Wonderful World,” “Put a Little Love in Your Heart,” and “Celebration.”
You’re welcome to sing, drum, dance, and soak up the good vibes!
Here’s how our Friendsgiving Day flows:
- 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Joyful music and special sharing
- 12:30 PM: Potluck lunch (turkey provided!)—bring your favorite dish to share, plus your lawn chairs, blankets, water, and games
- After lunch: Gather with children, friends, and neighbors for games and relaxed connection
- 2:00 PM: Sound bath healing circle and meditation
- 3:00 PM: Nature walk and eagle watch through the park
- 4:30 PM: Closing circle (you’re invited to stay and enjoy the park until 6:00 PM)
We’ll be gathering at Shelter 4 at Eagle Lake Park.
Bring your friends, bring your family, and let’s create another unforgettable day of fun, gratitude, great food, and joy. Come for the turkey, stay for the celebration, and leave with your heart full.
Please note we are limited to 100 people, please register, rather than just showing up. Thank you.
