Friendsgiving

The Circle of Friends Ministry, Inc. is a nonprofit which has been serving adults with intellectual and/or developmental differences (IDD) through programs, resources, and activities in Polk County for over 22 years! Each year we provide a respite activity or event for our IDD families that is free for them to attend. For the last 2 years we have chosen to provide this activity through hosting Friendsgiving. This is a well-attended event with just immediate families and associates attending. This year we thought we would open up this festival to our entire community. Removing the Barriers is also a nonprofit organization for those with IDD. They provide outdoor activities and games such as canoeing and axe throwing for the IDD community. We got together and decided that we wanted to do something big to honor our IDD families, volunteers, and community members. We are proud to announce that the Circle of Friends Ministry is partnering with Removing the Barriers to bring the Lake Wales community our 3rd Annual Friendsgiving Festival. This year we are taking it to the streets!

Join us for food, music, games, prizes, activiies, vendore, and fun! Those looking for an opprotunity to sell products are welcome to register by emailing Crystal Higbee at [email protected]. We are looking for vendore for non-food and food items. We appreciate our vendors.
