This sale will feature more than 3,000 mystery, thriller, and suspense novels and 500 biographies will be available, at prices starting at just $3. The Biography Book Sale includes biographical books covering the lives of important figures in United States and international history (presidents, military figures, and others), as well as memoirs of famous and not so famous persons. More than 1,000 old, unusual, or rare books, some dating back to the mid-1800s, are available, at prices starting at just $1.
During the sale weekend, the Friends are raffling one of the beautiful cotton throws depicting the history of the Lewes Public Library (Valued at $84.50), along with a basket full of Mystery Books. The winner will be selected at random and contacted by telephone on the afternoon of April 20, 2024.
Sale Days are
Friday, April 19 | 3:00 – 5:00 PM AND
Saturday, April 20 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Admission is free and open to the public. All proceeds benefit the Lewes Public Library.
The Lewes Public Library is an “independent library” within the Delaware Division of Libraries consortium. As such, the Library must raise over half of its annual operating funds each year.
