Our next workday is on Saturday, 5th April
The main work tasks:
- Preparing ground for seed sowing. Hampshire Forest Partnership has donated wildflower seed to Friends of St Giles Hill Graveyard (photo below). This is part of the Linking Leaves wildflower seed project. The initiative is supported by HFP in collaboration with Wildflower Turf Ltd.
- General “weeding” – remove invasive plants (Hogweed etc).
- We have moved a lot of woodchips since the beginning of the
year - but there are still woodchips to be moved.
- Stump removal.
As usual please sign in at the Gabion seating area in the centre of the graveyard when you arrive to get a safety briefing.
