Eve at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh is bringing you some of the finest up and coming musicians that the Scottish Music Scene has to offer. Taking you beyond just traditional and folk music, we aim to deliver unique collaborations and explore uncharted territory of genre fusion from traditional instruments. Hosted by Dara Dubh, a harpist/artist who is taking playing the harp to the next level.

Dara Dubh is Scotland’s go-to harpist with a difference. Hailing from Northern Ireland, with the harp as her trusted companion, Dara pulls influence from the variety of musical styles that have surrounded her musical journey thus far to create a blend of genres. As A versatile artist, she has captivated audiences in intimate acoustic settings and electrifying live performances alike. From playing at SofarSounds across the country to being selected as one of JBL & Martin Garrix’s top 10 artists in the UK, Dara is leaving an indelible mark on the music scene in Scotland.
Sarah Owens is an Irish indie-folk artist based in Edinburgh. Her heartbreakingly honest songwriting about friendship, love and loss combined with her gentle yet powerful vocal creates a melancholy like no other. Sarah has spent the last 9 years performing and collaborating with a host of musicians and bands, regularly appearing at open mics, house concerts and songwriter nights around the city.
Mike McKenzie is an award winning singer/songwriter based in Edinburgh. His heartfelt lyrics and melodies are always front and centre in his songwriting, reminiscent of Luke Sital-Singh, Ben Abraham and Tom Odell. Described as “Gorgeous” by Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 Mike’s music has received huge support across the BBC Network including airplay from Grant Stott and Janice Forsyth as well as recently being invited to perform LIVE on the iconic Scottish music show ‘The Quay Sessions with Roddy Hart’.
Eve Simpson Eve's writing has seen her collaborate with Beth Nielsen Chapman, Kathryn Tickell, and The Lake Poets, as well as scoring the North East segment of a FOCAL International award-winning film. Eve also featured in The List's January-February issue as their Future Sound pick of the month. Supported by Youth Music and Help Musicians, Eve's music has featured on BBC Scotland's Track of the Week, BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music. She recently signed with booking agent Twenty Music Roots, gigging extensively throughout the UK, featuring at Edinburgh Hogmanay, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Celtic Connections, and selling out headlines from Edinburgh to London.
