Join the Friends of the Arts Centre for a Fundraising Film Night on Monday 15 July in aid of Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre.There will be a glass of bubbles* and some canapés in the upstairs Bijou bar at Lumière Cinemas at 5.30pm, followed by a private showing at 6.15pm of the movie “La Passion De Dodin Bouffant” (The Taste of Things), France’s submission to the 2024 Oscars.
Set in France in 1889, the film follows the life of Dodin Bouffant as a chef living with his personal cook and lover Eugénie. They share a long history of gastronomy and love but Eugénie refuses to marry Dodin, so the food lover decides to do something he has never done before: cook for her.
